Thoughts on October

rljlowe | Thoughts on October
This month has felt quite full-on and I can't really get my head around what happened in October. I know that the mornings and evenings got darker, making it really hard to get out of bed for work, and my laptop charger completely packed in. I never realised how much I used my laptop before I was stuck staring at the battery slowly depleting.

Friday Feeling: Album of the Week

rljlowe | Friday Feeling: Album of the Week
Honestly, can you believe it's almost the middle of October? I feel like I'm banging on about it, maybe it's just me getting older, but this year is flying by! I feel like I've been really busy these week but on reflection, it doesn't really seem like I've accomplished anything - annoying! This week I've been really enjoying my car tunes, find out why...

An Honest Look into My Ski Season Experience

As you may know, last winter I was living in the French Alps working as a chalet host with Rob. It was the first time I'd ever been skiing and to say I was a little apprehensive is a huge understatement. I didn't know if I'd enjoy skiing, we were both unsure on what chalet hosting would be like, it would be the first time we properly lived together, and I really hated the cold...

My Autumn Kindle Picks

rljlowe | My Autumn Kindle Picks

Whilst I love reading, I never seem to "find" the time to do it unless I'm on holiday where the sole objective is to get tanned and relax! I read quite quickly which is an absolute nightmare on my bank balance, I mean, I know Kindle books are cheaper but they soon add up. After finishing Game of Thrones, I found myself a little lost and couldn't find any books I thought I'd enjoy. Here are some that helped fill that little literary hole.

Friday Feeling: Album of the Week

rljlowe | Album of the Week
The weeks are going so quickly, I'm not sure if it's something to do with the darker evenings now or the fact that I go to bed way too early! I keep thinking that July was only last week, I reckon I'm in denial. Maybe good music has helped the week fly by, check out what I've been listening to...

Sneak Peak: Lush Christmas Launch 2016

rljlowe | Lush Christmas 2016
On Friday night, I was kindly invited by the lovely ladies at Lush Worcester to attend their Christmas launch. I had such a lovely time looking at all the new products (and the return of some old favourites), whilst having some drinks, nibbles and demos of the new collection. Obviously I couldn't leave without taking some pictures of the products, to say a took a "few" is a huge understatement!

Honestly, this post is going to be very picture heavy, it can't be helped when all the products are so pretty! So prepare yourself...

Thoughts on September

September was actually a really good month for me. It's usually around this time of year that I start to feel a bit low and tend to have a hard time getting myself out of the funk but for some reason, this year has been completely different.

At the end of August I attended my cousin's wedding and was asked if Caitlin and I could perform her first dance song - which we obviously agreed to (I love first dances and nerves aside, it was really special to be a part of their day). Leading up to performing, I was feeling quite nervous because I've never really played in front of my family and this gig was kind of a big deal...

October Goals

I honestly can't believe it's October already, this year is going horrendously quickly and I'm not sure if I'm okay with it. On the plus side, I go off to the Alps next month to start my second ski season (it might seem crazy to those who knew my experience last time but it's going to be different this time; I swear). I'm usually a summer baby but there's something about the air this year that I'm really enjoying. Driving in the dark, wrapped up with the heating on and some good music playing really makes me happy in the autumn/winter months.
